Student Government AssociationGreetings Distinguished Rattlers,
On behalf of the FAMU Student Government Association, it is our privilege to welcome new and returning Rattlers to the “Highest of Seven Hills”!!! To new students, we would like to applaud you on all of the hard work that you have put forth to reach this point in your education. You have truly made one of the best decisions in your entire life by attending FAMU. To returning students, we wish you the best as you complete your matriculation at the one of the most premiere institutions in the Nation. Throughout the rigorous college environment of studying late nights for exams, taking advantage of internship opportunities and other essentials for surviving in an academically challenging arena, the Student Government Association is working hard to ensure that you have a balanced atmosphere and a world class college experience.
Our faculty and staff will challenge you to reach your full potential and prepare you to be an asset to the world upon graduation. SGA is here is to ensure that your voice is heard and to improve your quality of life. You will find a myriad of the services provided by SGA that are both exciting and intellectually stimulating. Whether you participate in our nationally recognized Homecoming Week activities, attend our celebrity comprised State of the Black Student Summit, or take part in our numerous community service activities, you will surely leave FAMU a more well- rounded individual.
Some of the new services that the GNC administration has in the works for you include a Leadership Development Program for incoming students, The Leadership Listening Tour, 24 hour hotline, Rattler Spirit Days, Roadside Assistance Services, Notary Services , GNC Moving Services , SGA Shuttles and many more.
While college life can be extremely stressful, we highly encourage each of you to constantly remember the reason why you are here. College gives you the tools to prepare you for the next phase of your life. Please use this time wisely as an investment for your future and a deposit for your personal growth. Study hard, remain focused and define every moment because there are millions of students around the world who wish they had this opportunity.
