 Our faculty and staff have a long history of valuing educational access, fostering close student-faculty relationship, and achieving the highest standards of professional excellence.

Close student-faculty relationships prepare graduates who possess clinical reasoning skills, are technologically proficient, grounded in principles of social justice, and able to practice professionally in a variety of medical/health care delivery systems. The faculty, grounded in their understanding of the realities of delivering services, is focused on the many contemporary community-based health promotion and disease prevention nursing and health care challenges that face rural and urban population across the lifespan.

Florida A&M University School of Nursing enhances nursing education through the use of Universal Simulators

 

Our location in the state's capital provides us multiple opportunities to involve faculty and students in governmental issues that affect nursing health policy issues.

The School offers a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Nursing. Both programs are approved by the Florida Board of Nursing and accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). The School also offers a Doctor Of Philosophy (PhD) In Nursing Science cooperatively with the University of Florida and Florida State University.
