Starting Spring 2011, FAMU will be updating our Learning Management System from Blackboard 7.1 to 9.1. The new system will be integrated with FAMU's iRattler system, so each course will be automatically generated on Blackboard 9.1. In the interim, you can prepare your course on our current Blackboard 7.1 system, then you will be able to archive the materials and then import them into the new 9.1 system.

The Office of Instructional Technology (OIT), located on the ground floor of the Coleman Library, Room 104, offers multimedia, distance learning, audiovisual, and video conferencing support to faculty, students and staff at Florida A&M University.
The Center contains a 32 seat interactive classroom, a faculty development lab, an academic computer lab, satellite down-linking services, and media carrels for individual viewing.
We are committed to improving the teaching and learning process through the professional development of its faculty and staff and the pedagogical training of graduate teaching assistants in the use of instructional technology in teaching, learning and research.
The Office of Instructional Technology is responsible for providing the community with multimedia equipment, the operation and maintenance of the electronic classrooms, and training faculty on the new methods of implementing technology in the classroom.
