TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida A&M University (FAMU) President James H. Ammons and the student associates in the FAMU PRodigy Public Relations Firm will kickoff “LIVE SMART: A 12-Month Celebration of Healthy Living” on Thursday, January 29, at 8 a.m. in the FAMU Recreation and Fitness Center on the corner of Osceola and Wahnish Way. The entire FAMU community is invited to have breakfast with President Ammons as he issues his 2009 healthy living challenge to students, faculty, staff, administrators, retirees, alumni, and other University stakeholders.
PRodigy associates will launch the LIVE SMART Pledge Card Drive on Monday, January 26, with a goal to present Ammons with no less than 1,000 signed pledge cards by Thursday, January 29. Individuals are encouraged to accept the pledge to live healthier in 2009.
There will be events, contests, workshops, and other activities throughout 2009 to keep the FAMU community motivated, on target and committed to pledge to a healthier lifestyle.
