TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida A&M University (FAMU) will host another book series celebration in honor of the inauguration of President James H. Ammons Thursday, October 16, at 6:30 p.m. in Perry Paige Auditorium. Tallahassee City Commissioner Andrew Gillum and his sister Monique Gillum, FAMU’s 2007-2008 Student Government Association President, will lead the discussions. Commissioner Gillum will discuss “Letters to a Young Brother” by Hill Harper and Monique will discuss “Letters to a Young Sister” by Harper.
“The series was formed to provide opportunities for enlightening and informative dialogue sessions on various topics leading up to the inauguration of Dr. Ammons as the 10th President of FAMU,” said Sharon P. Saunders, chair of the President’s Inauguration Committee.
