As of this writing, the FAMU Developmental Research School has been cleared following the report of a bomb threat. Students and personnel have returned to the school; on-the-scene officials have advised all parties that it is safe to resume normal activities.
Shortly after 10 a.m., Wednesday, the DRS was evacuated after an instructor reported that a bomb threat had been discovered, according to reports from the Florida A&M University Department of Public Safety. All students, teachers and staff were moved to a secure location.
The Tallahassee Fire Department, the Capitol Police and the Tallahassee Police Department were also on the scene to assist the FAMU Police Department in their efforts to investigate and clear up the matter.
