FAMU Search Committee Selects Candidates to Interview
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida A&M University (FAMU) presidential search committee met today to review 49 applications from candidates vying to become the institution’s 11th president. After discussion and deliberation, the committee selected the following candidates for interview:

• Elmira Mangum, vice president for budget and planning, Samuel Johnson School of Management at Cornell University

• John Maupin, president of Morehouse School of Medicine

• John Price, former founding president, University of North Texas at Dallas

• Joan Robinson, vice president for international affairs, Morgan State University

• Diane Suber, president of Saint Augustine’s University

• Woodrow Whitlow, former associate administrator of mission support, NASA Headquarters

The presidential search committee will interview each candidate on Monday, Jan. 6 at the FAMU College of Law in Orlando. After the interview process, the committee will determine which candidates to recommend to the FAMU Board of Trustees. Those selected will come to Tallahassee to meet the Board and participate in public forums with the students, faculty, staff and alumni on Wednesday, Jan. 8.
