TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida A&M University (FAMU) will operate under a four-day work week beginning Friday, May 10 through Thursday, August 1. On Friday, August 2, the university will resume its regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
During this period, employees will work four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday. The university’s daily hours of operation will be from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Exceptions to this four-day schedule will include the police department, buildings with research activities, university housing, the student health clinic and the New Beginnings Childcare Center.
The university will be closed in observance of the official state holidays —Memorial Day on Monday, May 27 and Independence Day on Thursday, July 4.
