About Governmental Relations
The Office of Government Relations monitors state and federal legislation that impacts or involves higher education. The office works with elected officials and government agencies and provides FAMU information and research findings to assist them in their work.
The Government Relations team actively engages state and federal officials on issues affecting Florida A&M University, and represents University before legislative staff and committees.
The office provides information to the President and his cabinet and assists in the development of state and federal legislative priorities each year. These priorities then set the FAMU action agenda by the office at the state Capitol in Tallahassee and the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC.
