About the Office of Procurement ServicesFor more than 120 years, Florida A&M University has served the citizens of the State of Florida and the nation through its provision of preeminent educational programs. These programs have been the building blocks of a legacy of academic excellence and caring. Now, as we continue our mission during the 21st century, FAMU, "Florida's Opportunity University," is committed to meeting the challenges and needs of future generations of students as well as the state of Florida. Departments at Florida A&M University purchase a wide variety of products and services while fulfilling the institution's objectives in education, research, and public service. The Office of Procurement Services is responsible for assisting departments in the procurement process in the most economic and convenient way possible, while ensuring compliance with University’s policies and principles. The Office of Proccurement Services assists the University in meeting these goals by facilitating the acquisition of supplies, materials, equipment, maintenance services, contractual services, lease of space, construction projects, and the development of a vendor listing. Suppliers and contractors are encouraged to call or visit the the Office of Procurement Services to become familiar with the needs of the University, and its procurement policies and procedures.
