|Lyceum Series brings culture, arts to stage|
Last year, Florida A&M University announced the “Rebirth” of its Lyceum Series. According to FAMU Provost Cynthia Hughes Harris, this year’s Lyceum Series will be another unforgettable season.

|Horne looks forward to new chapter as AD|
Derek Horne, a long time administrator at the University of Mississippi, has been hired as the new Director of Athletics at Florida A&M University.
Horne joins the Rattler staff after spending 15 years in athletic administration at the University of Mississippi. He joined the Ole Miss staff in 1995 as assistant athletic director and was promoted to senior associate athletic director during that tenure. Full Story

For the third consecutive year Florida A&M University is ranked No. 1 among historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in selling licensed merchandise.
According to the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), sells increased by 25 percent from the 2008-2009 fiscal year gross royalties of $79,007 to $98,863.82 in 2009-2010. Full Story

FAMU Board of Trustee member Attorney Daryl D. Parks is the new President-Elect of the National Bar Association (NBA).
Parks is the seventh attorney from Florida to serve as president.
|Conference to address issues in goat industry|
Goat meat production is recognized as one of the fastest growing areas of the livestock industry in the United States today. Over the past 10 years, an increase in the diverse ethnic population has caused a greater demand for goat meat. Full Story

Former Florida A&M University professor Joseph Baldwin, who is also known as Kobi Kambon, is being honored for his prestigious work and contributions to new studies of African descent psychology at the first National Conference on African and Black Psychology on Friday, September 10 through Saturday, September 11.
