Lyceum Series brings culture, arts to stage Last year, Florida A&M University announced the “Rebirth” of its Lyceum Series. According to FAMU Provost Cynthia Hughes Harris, this year’s Lyceum Series will be another unforgettable season. “We have scheduled some outstanding and exciting performances for this season,” said Hughes Harris. “The Lyceum Committee has scheduled violinists, vocalists, a pianist and more. Horne looks forward to new chapter as AD Derek Horne, a long time administrator at the University of Mississippi, has been hired as the new Director of Athletics at Florida A&M University. Horne joins the Rattler staff after spending 15 years in athletic administration at the University of Mississippi. He joined the Ole Miss staff in 1995 as assistant athletic director and was promoted to senior associate athletic director during that tenure. Full Story |
FAMU Still No. 1 For the third consecutive year Florida A&M University is ranked No. 1 among historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in selling licensed merchandise.
According to the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), sells increased by 25 percent from the 2008-2009 fiscal year gross royalties of $79,007 to $98,863.82 in 2009-2010. Full Story |
Parks elected National Bar Association president FAMU Board of Trustee member Attorney Daryl D. Parks is the new President-Elect of the National Bar Association (NBA).
