We recruit OL's throughout the month of October and we interview and select orientation leaders in November. So, if you think that you would like to become an Orientation Leader keep your eyes open at that time – we advertise in the FAMUAN and applications are available in the Office of New Student Orientation, H. Manning Efferson Student Union Complex.
Applicants Need To Meet Some Basic Requirements:
Each applicant must be a full-time Florida A & M University undergraduate student.
Each applicant must have at least a 2.5 overall grade point average at the time of application. Freshman can apply with the understanding that you must have a 2.5 GPA after the fall semester
A 2.5 cumulative average must be maintained throughout employment (circumstances such as disability which might have impacted GPA will be considered on an individual basis).
No student may hold the position while on academic or disciplinary probation.
Each applicant must not graduate before December 2012.
A student selected to be an Orientation Leader may not take courses during the summer.
All selected Orientation Leaders must successfully complete the training class held in the Spring semester, other training obligations, and must attend all orientation programs.
Each applicant MUST attend the group interview held in early November. Upon completion of the group interview, we will conduct individual interviews by invitation only.
