FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I purchase tickets?


In Person

The Alfred Lawson Jr. Multipurpose Center and Teaching Gymnasium Box Office 
Box Office Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Will Call
All online ticket orders not picked-up prior to the evening of a performance will be held for pick up at Will Call, which opens at the performance venue one hour prior to curtain time. 

You must present a picture I.D. and your confirmation receipt when picking up tickets . Please try to pick up will call early to avoid delays at show time.


Can I refund my tickets?

All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.  Refunds are only permitted for cancellation of an event.


Is seating general or reserved?
Seating for all Lyceum events is reserved.  Only patrons who purchase tickets at the box office window may select row and seat numbers.

Patrons purchasing tickets online may select section and areas of the house only.  The house is divided into three sections: Orchestra A, Orchestra B and  Balcony C.  The sections are divided into three areas: House Left, House, Center, House Right.  Seat selections are filled on a first-serve basis.


When do doors open?
Lobby doors open one hour prior to each event.  House doors open 30 minutes prior to each event. 


How many tickets will FAMU students receive?
Only one complimentary ticket per student per event is allowable.  Tickets must be picked up from the box office window. Valid FAMU ID must be shown in exchange for a ticket.   After all complimentary tickets have been distributed, students must pay full admission.  Get your tickets early!


Can I bring my children?
Children over the age of two must have a ticket and sit in a seat.  Parents or accompanying adults are asked to be mindful of others in attendance when bringing a child.  Please remove the child from the theatre/auditorium should the child be unable to sit through a performance without disturbing others.


Where do I park?
Parking is available behind Lee Hall, Foote-Hilyer Administration Center parking lot and the Frederick S. Humphries Science Research Center parking lot.


Are events accessible to special needs patrons?
All Florida A&M University performance venues are handicap accessible.  Please contact the house manager at (850) 561-2840 if you need to request accessible seating.  Accessible seating may not be ordered on line.
