This year’s FAMU Grape Harvest Festival is expected to draw approximately 2,500 participants. In an effort to continue to grow the festival and truly make it a “Community Affair” event, we have scheduled attractions and educational events for the general public. Some of the attractions and events this year include the Annual 5K Vineyard Run and Walk-a-Thon, pony ride, petting zoo, health and educational exhibits, Ask-a-Doctor Q&A and Southeastern Blood Mobile. We will also have a number of other entertainment and educational exhibits all designed to boost attendance and continue to build a family/community relationship between FAMU and the Tallahassee community. In order to implement this year’s festival and ensure its continued success, we will need at least 100 active volunteers divided into morning and afternoon groups.
