Dr. Geoffrey Horn, Associate Professor of Music Theory, holds the Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in Composition from Ohio University, the Master of Music in Music Theory from Ohio University, and the Doctor of Philosophy in Music Theory from the University of Michigan. Before coming to Florida A&M University in 1990, he served on the Music Theory faculties of Ohio University and Ithaca College. At Florida A&M University, he teaches Music Theory, Sight-singing and Ear Training, and Form and Analysis. He has performed extensively with the Tallahassee Community Chorus and the Tallahassee Bach Parley. Outside of music, he coaches women’s fast-pitch softball and serves regularly as a baseball and softball umpire for the City of Tallahassee and the Big Bend Sports Officials Association. |
