Soprano Alethea Kilgore has been a professor of voice at Florida A & M University since 2005 and is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and Master of Music degree from Florida State University College of Music. She has worked as a vocal instructor since 1996, teaching in various regions of the United States and in the nation of Haiti. Ms. Kilgore has performed with the Cincinnati Opera Chorus, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music Opera, Florida State University Opera and Opera Theatre of Lucca, Italy. She can be found on Albany records singing the role of Mother Superior for the world premiere recording of Harold Blumenfeld’s opera Seasons in Hell. Kilgore performs frequently as a faculty artist at Florida A & M University.
