Major in Economics The program in economics offers curricula leading to the Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Science degrees in economics, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a minor in business. The program in economics also offers certificates in human resources management. While all of the degree programs provide a broad liberal arts background, the Bachelor of Arts degree and the Bachelor of Science degree emphasize breadth and research skills, while the Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in business emphasizes business applications. The economics program trains people for a variety of professions, including business management, finance, government, research, and advanced study in economics and business. A minor in economics requires the completion of ECO 2013, ECO 2023, ECO 3101, ECO 3203, and six (6) hours of intermediate and advanced courses in Economics.
