Are you looking for a greater level of motivation and instruction in your fitness routine?  The Rattler Fitness Program allows patrons to workout in a fun & safe environment while taking advantage of all that the FAMU Recreation Center has to offer.  Allow the Rattler Fitness Team to assist you through the variety of services offered, such as FREE One-On-One Fitness Orientations, FREE Body Composition (Body Fat) Testing, and regular Educational Presentations & Physical Competitions.  Sign-up today!
 
What is a One-On-One Fitness Orientation?
During the One-On-One Fitness Orientation a Certified Fitness Trainer or Fitness Training Intern will design a personalized fitness program based on your individual goals and needs.  The Trainer or Intern will also show you how to perform all of the exercises in that program with proper form & technique, allowing you to be self-sufficient when you come into the facility.
    
How do I sign-up?
To sign-up for a One-On-One Fitness Orientation and/or Body Composition Testing, just stop by the Fitness Counter at the FAMU Recreation Center.  Trainers & Interns are available throughout the day, making the process quite convenient and readily accessible to you.     
 
Our Partnership with ACIS

FAMU, along with over 200 other universities, has partnered with American Collegiate Intramural Sports to further promote healthy living and fun through collegiate fitness and intramural programs.  ACIS Fitness helps by providing schools with exciting sponsors and valuable prizes and giveaways for students participating in fitness activities on-campus! Students from 200 ACIS campuses will have the opportunity to WIN exciting prizes for visiting their campus recreation center and participating in Fitness Activities!

 

Simply compete in intramural sports, attend aerobics classes, weight rooms, cardio-fitness and any other fitness related event to earn points towards exciting prizes! By improving your fitness level you are not only improving your health but increasing your strength, flexibility, endurance, speed and agility.
