Facilities
Two Smart Classroom enabled Computer Laboratories (SCCL) are designed to be the focal point of training and public access at the Center. The SCCL’s will contain multiple high-end workstation PC’s with flat screen monitors. Each machine will contain at least 3GB RAM, 2.0 GHz processor and a 160GB hard drive with DVD _RW capability. Each machine will be preloaded with a wide assortment of commercial software from Microsoft and Adobe to Education Software such as GED, GRE, and ESOL.
The labs are designed to accommodate synchronous learning while accommodating asynchronous remote learning and interaction. This will be accomplished via an internal Video Teleconferencing (Tele-presence), Collaborative Computing, and web based courseware.
The Labs will serve multiple purposes such as Video Conferencing, SMART Classroom Instruction, Distance Learning, Training/Professional Development, Presentations, Video Streaming (Webcasting, Podcasting).
