Vision
Broaden exposure, deepen understanding and expand the pool of qualified minority and women for significant employment in IC.
Mission
To provide students and faculty exposure to national intelligence interests and, in the process, motivate students and faculty to become interested in conducting research relevant to the IC.
Who We Are
Funded by a grant awarded by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, we have been designated an Intelligence Community Center for Academic Excellence. Our two-fold mission is to ensure that Florida A & M University develops and implements a competitive program in global security and international affairs, while assisting to diversify the intelligence workforce with eligible applicants who possess critical core skills. Two major programmatic elements of the Center are the IC Scholars Program and the Certificate/Minor in Global Security.
There are four (4) components utilized to effectively meet our mission and vision. Those components are:
1. Integrated interdisciplinary curriculum
2. Study abroad and cultural immersion
experiences
3. Regional and national colloquium
4. Pre-college student institute
