Compliance TrainingThe Office of Organizational Development and Training works diligently with university departments to develop, implement and maintain effective compliance training programs. Supervisors and managers must possess the knowledge and skills for effective day-to-day decision-making and actions regarding federal and state laws and regulations governing university compliance, as well as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. Florida A&M University is dedicated to administering the highest ethical and legal standards for the university community as demonstrated in the University-Wide Compliance Training Program.
Compliance issues affect every department at the University. To be in compliance, means to act in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations as related to University resources and functions.
It is our charge to communicate and educate university employees the applicable laws, regulations and university policies that apply to our work environment. To ensure that all employees are trained efficiently, these programs are delivered in a variety of methods, including instructor-led classroom setting, and web-based in which employees have the convenience of completing the training online at their office or in the comfort of their home 24 hours 7 days a week.
For available training classes and dates, please navigate to Organizational Development and Training website and select “Training Calendar” from the menu on the right. Double-click on the course to obtain detail information, such as the summary, instructor, location and objectives. Please be informed that supervisor approval is required to register for all courses.
