International Activities and Partnerships

The SA&ET promotes and supports diverse international educational experiences. The School has a unique international population as a result of its Caribbean recruitment efforts, partnerships with Caribbean schools and financial support extended to international students. The SA&ET enrolls more than 20 Caribbean/Latin American students - with many from the College of the Bahamas in Nassau, Bahamas; Montego Bay Community College, Montego Bay , Jamaica; and the University of Technology in Kingston, Jamaica.

SA&ET Professors (e.g. Eduardo Robles and Edward T. White) regularly lead summer classes in one the State of Florida's International Programs Centers in Spain and Italy. Since the program is hosted by Florida State University, FAMU students can register for the classes. In addition to the lecture classes, the students operate as a field school and use Italy as their Spring Design studio sites. In the last 10 years, the architecture program has also hosted Spring Break study trips to Europe.
