Electronic Engineering Technology (EET) Program Mission Statement
The mission of the Electronic Engineering Technology Program at Florida A&M University is to foster the academic, technical, and professional development of students through a broad-based technology oriented education that emphasizes the application of current technology to solve problems, design and develop products, and improve manufacturing processes, procedures, equipment, and facilities.

EET Vision Statement
To be recognized as a leader in Electronic Engineering Technology Education emphasizing academic, technical and professional excellence with caring and to produce graduates capable of contributing to the advancements in the engineering technology community.

EET Educational Objectives
Electronic Engineering Technology program has four primary areas of objectives: developing applied electronic engineers with technical and professional skills, creating successful leaders, producing responsible professional graduates, and preparing continuous professional life long learners.  Strategies are derived from the objectives and outcomes are measured based on the assessment measures that are identified for each strategy. Annual faculty reviews and Industry Advisory Council members evaluate the results and observations generated from the program assessment plan. Further objectives, outcomes, strategies and assessment measures are identified and/or modified to incorporate program enhancements and improvements. These objectives are published through course syllabi and through the FAMU website. The objectives are listed as follows:
 
    •    O1.  Possess the technical and professional skills to have successful careers in regional, state or national industries related to their discipline associated with the design, development, implementation, application, manufacturing, and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems.
 
    •    O2. Demonstrate success in their careers by being promoted, being afforded additional training opportunities, and becoming leaders in their organizations and professions.
 
    •    O3. Conducting all professional activities with integrity and demonstrating a sense of social and environmental responsibility; being capable of assuming increasing professional responsibility.
 
    •    O4. Adapting to changes in technology through continuous personal and professional development; career advancement and continuous professional development in installation, operation and/or maintenance of computer and software systems.

EET Student Outcomes
Outcomes are those skills and abilities we expect our students to have when they graduate from our program so they can achieve the objectives.
On graduation from the construction engineering program, our students will have:
The list of EET program outcomes that graduates must have are as follow:

•    an appropriate mastery of the knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of their disciplines,

•    an ability to apply current knowledge and adapt to emerging applications of mathematics, science, engineering and technology,
       
•    an ability to conduct, analyze and interpret experiments and apply experimental results to improve processes,
   
•    an ability to apply creativity in the design of systems, components or processes appropriate to program objectives,
   
•    an ability to function effectively on teams,
   
•    an ability to identify, analyze and solve technical problems,
   
•    an ability to communicate effectively,
   
•    a recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in lifelong learning,
   
•    an ability to understand professional, ethical and social responsibilities,
       
•    a respect for diversity and a knowledge of contemporary professional, societal and global issues,and
   
•   a commitment to quality, timeliness, and continuous improvement.

In addition to the above program outcomes, the following program criteria will be demonstrated by the students:

    •    P1. To analyze, design, implement, and maintain instrumentation systems, control systems, communication systems, and radio-frequency systems.

    •    P2. To analyze, design, and implement hardware and software computer systems.
   
    •    P3. To design, build, analyze and troubleshoot electrical circuits and analog/digital/microprocessor electronic circuits.
   
    •    P4. To demonstrate proficiency in computer applications for designing and simulating electrical and electronic systems.
   
    •    P5.To demonstrate proficiency in applying project management techniques to course projects.
       
    •    P6. To demonstrate proficiency in calculus, differential equations, discrete mathematics, transform methods, and digital signal processing in support of analyzing electrical and electronic systems.

    •    P7. To demonstrate proficiency in physics and chemistry.
