Lieutenant Ryan P. Corridan

LT Ryan Corridan was born and raised in Lewisville, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science. At Texas A&M he was a member of the Corps of Cadets and the NROTC Midshipmen Battalion.

In May 2011, he commissioned into the Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) as an Ensign through the NROTC program. In October 2011, LT Corridan received active duty orders to Naval Aviation Schools Command (NASC) in Pensacola, Florida to complete Initial Flight Screening (IFS) and Aviation Pre-Flight Indoctrination (API). At NASC, he received an introduction to aviation weather, engines, flight fundamentals, aerodynamics, and navigation.  Upon completion, he transferred to Training Squadron TWO (VT-2) at NAS Whiting Field to learn the basics of fixed wing flying in the T-6B Texan II.  LT Corridan selected rotary wing as his follow on training, and reported to Helicopter Training Squadron TWO-EIGHT (HT-28) to complete Helicopter Advanced Training in the TH-57 Sea Ranger. In July of 2013, he graduated Naval Flight School, earned his wings, and was designated a Naval Aviator.

LT Corridan received orders to the East Coast Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) for the MH-60S Knight Hawk, Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron TWO (HSC-2), in Norfolk, Virginia. In July 2014, He reported to his first fleet command, Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron TWO-SIX (HSC-26). HSC-26 specializes in expeditionary detachments to support search and rescue, vertical replenishment, personnel recovery, special operations support, and anti-surface warfare. LT Corridan completed two deployments at the Naval Aviation Unit in Muharraq, Bahrain providing logistical support for the Fifth Fleet area of responsibility. During his tour at HSC-26, he was awarded the Global War on Terrorism Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Ribbon, and the Navy Achievement Medal.

In June 2017, LT Corridan reported to Florida A&M University NROTC, instructing midshipmen enrolled in Florida A&M University, Florida State University, and Tallahassee Community College.
