NROTC National Scholarship
This is the primary route to get an NROTC scholarship. Normally a student applies for this scholarship while they are in their second semester of their junior year in high school or their first semester of their senior year. You can apply directly for this program at the Navy's NROTC website or contact your nearest recruiter. Please note that students w/ more than 30 semester hours or 40 quarter hours of college credit upon application or students already enrolled in NROTC College Program are not eligible for four-year NROTC Scholarships; these students should see professors of naval science at host university's NROTC unit to discuss other scholarship opportunities.
Full tuition and fees. "Fees" are any charge that is included on the tuition bill. A laptop PC would not be covered, even if it were required for the class, unless it showed up as an addition to the tuition.
- NROTC uniforms and Naval Science books provided.
$250 monthly stipend for incoming freshman during spring and fall semesters. This stipend increases by $50 a year up to $400/month during the senior year.
$750 a year for books ($375 per semester).
Summer training pay is approximately $500 per cruise.
Hands on training while onboard operational submarines, aircraft carriers, surface ships, naval hospitals, SPECWAR units, SPECOPS units, and Marine Corps Units.
