Established in 1891, the College of Agriculture and Food Sciences (CAFS) enjoys a rich educational legacy because of its history as the original land-grant component implemented at Florida A&M University (FAMU). Through the tripartite concept embraced by the land-grant institutions, our students are fully prepared by integrating teaching, research and outreach to become highly qualified professionals in the agriculture and food sciences professions. CAFS students are exposed to a broad variety of enriched learning experiences provided through our degree program options.

“Students First” is always at the top of the list of priorities set in CAFS, as we seek to promote academic excellence in higher education.
