Introductory information will be provided related to the application process, including: Request for Applications (RFA) posting and location, application preparation reminders, and electronic submission. Information about the review process will include: understanding the evaluation criteria, role of the National Program Leader (NPL) and the Panel Manager, selection of peer review panel members, role of the panelists, confidentiality and conflict of interest, and a general overview of the peer panel process.

Information will include: downloading the correct funding opportunity package, properly completing the application package, attaching files to the application package, ensuring the application is submitted, and understanding the application receipt emails. Information will also include CSREES web resources for applicants, common errors made by applicants, and frequently asked questions.

Provide tips for success for developing and implementing an integrated project for potential applicants to CSREES Integrated Programs. Guidance for potential applicants in finding the correct funding opportunity for specific topic areas. Information will be provided in identifying a problem area and development of an integrated project, including: using the logic model planning process, ensuring your project is stakeholder driven, creating a collaborative team, developing strong project management and evaluation plans, and developing a strategic response. Additional information will be provided on what qualities make a proposal successful and details to remember when writing a competitive integrated proposal. Information will also be provided in navigating CSREES online applicant resources.
