If you need to return your spring semester rental, you can print a free label to ship your rental back to the store.

If you need to order books for the summer or fall semester, please do so online. We will ship your books to your home. We are also offering free shipping on all ground orders.

Textbook Affordability Act (Section 1004.085, Florida Statutes)

As a Florida public university, FAMU is dedicated to keeping your textbooks affordable. The Textbook Affordability Act requires the following:

  • Public postsecondary institutions must conduct cost-benefit analyses and report annually to chancellors on implementation of textbook affordability policies.
  • Universities must post prominently lists of recommended and required textbooks 45 days prior to the first day of class for at least 95 percent of course and course sections.
  • Establishment of deadlines for instructors to submit adoptions to bookstores for availability and sourcing.
  • Confirmation by the instructor or department that all items will be used.
  • Evaluation of cost savings for students if they opt in.
  • Annual report to State University System chancellor by Sept. 30.
